STEM Birds Scratch Ideas for Kids !
Welcome to the engaging world of Scratch Ideas for Kids. As we are now living into the digital and automated world, we believe that everyone should learn to code. Understanding of computer programming concepts and the ability to code has become one of the most valuable skills for any child for successful life. This book is written by Shalaka and Nithika who are experienced programming teachers and are extremely passionate about teaching coding to young kids. This book is to help young kids to explore and understand the concepts of scratch™ block programming effortlessly. Scratch™ block programming is a language designed by MIT specifically to help young children to learn coding. As educators at STEM Birds, we learned more about how students perceive a topic and how efficiently can we make our students understand the concepts of programming using scratch.
We have incorporated the projects in a sequential order according to the level of knowledge in scratch. This book serves as a comprehensive text for the scratch programming. It provides the reader a precise explanation about the essential concepts that are in programming. It will help children to code for creative storytelling and design games. If you analyse and study the concepts in this book, you will be on your way to becoming a computer programmer who understands how code works and how to fix the code by yourself. This book does not necessitate any earlier experience in programming. We hope that you will find the book interesting and fascinating.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
Welcome to STEM Birds! Thank you very much for your interest in coding, robotics, electronics and science courses. We hope your child will have a great time! Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with things you should be aware of.
We will be providing Laptops/Tablets/Robots for kids during term classes/ Workshops.
Please sign in and sign out your child before and after the class.
Timely pick up and drop offs are critical.
Starting on time is important. It allows STEM Birds educators to fully explain the session to the entire class and kids can more fun & learn.
If you know your child is going to be absent for any reason, please call STEM Birds office, send a text message or email us with student’s name, class, location, contact number, date/dates of absence. Periodic make up lessons are available if we have informed.
Please, ensure your child has a small snack (such as a piece of fruit, muesli bar, water) to eat before the class (if needed).
In case your child has a medical condition, please, ensure you have informed us of any special requirement.
We may take pictures and record videos during the lessons. We may use them for STEM Birds promotional purposes, on our web site and social networks, our news and blog publications.
If you do not want to give us a permission to use any of the materials with your child, please, inform us in a written form.
Enrollments will not be accepted without payment. we are not able to guarantee availability of place for your child unless payment is made.
We reserve the rights to cancel the classes at any time. In case we cancel the classes we will notify you beforehand and makeup classes will be arranged.
